“Most 4-year-olds likely have no idea who Willie Nelson is, but Ava is a bit different from most her age. She was born premature at 27 weeks and had 12 surgeries in her first 15 months of being alive.  Ava not only takes a backpack with a feeding tube everywhere with her…but also her Willie Nelson doll.

‘You have no clue how many times you’ve actually saved our daughter’s life,’ says Brittany, Ava’s mother. ‘There were times where her heart rate was incredibly low. She was not doing well. She spent so long in there and it was such a long road, but actually just playing that music for her really, really did change and save her life.'” Read more at newschannel10.com.

  2. what an incredible little with an impeccable taste in music. Get well soon little Ava and keep on listening to Willie Nelson.

  3. God bless and heal this child, in Jesus name.
Willie has such a warm way and such a good singer. A 4 yr old is a judge of good songs and can embrace them to her /himself. I surely did. Willie is delivering friendship and images of a world a child can share.Jesus touch and heal her

  5. My prayers go to your daughter may God be with you.

  6. Willie, you still got it, buddy. Saw you back in the early 90’s at a little venue in Pennsylvania? It was actually an indoor tennis court that they just put a ton of chairs in. Former Playboy club with tennis and golf available. Was doing a public appearance of my own, as I was a soap opera actor at the time, and staying there as a result of a nearby softball game the next day. Was awarded front row seats, and it was an awesome show.

You bring so much history when you play and sing. My favorite cover of yours is “The City of New Orleans”, I think. Only learned it, playing guitar and singing, after you did it. Gave it that soul I mentioned earlier. I’ve had pancakes at the Maui restaurant you own, or used to, I’ve seen you live, and am a great admirer.

Worked for Michael Jackson for a couple of years after college and he had a similar affect on young kids going through troubling times. I’m proud of you for accomplishing the same affects on the sick, or troubled young people. Thank you, sir.

God bless you, buddy. And rock on!

    A fan,
    Greg

Leave it to my favorite, Willie Nelson, to do this. He has always been this: at least as long as I have known about him. Way to go WILLIE NELSON!!!!

  13. This is not a reply to any post, but just wanted you to know how much I enjoy seeing you live in concert. I have only gotten to 6 times. I have enjoyed the concert at Flore’s Country Store the last two years. I have been watching the tour posts and waiting for it to show up. I am hoping it is still going to happen, but it doesn’t look promising. Sending LOVE and LIGHT to YOU and YOURS!! Jan Elliott
